After 30 years with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, James “Jay” Dingmann is running for Sheriff. He believes in steady, practical leadership and a Sheriff’s Office that is prepared, proactive, and grounded in real-world experience. Jay is committed to supporting the people who do the work to keep Benton County safe.
When deputies and staff are supported, they can serve safely and effectively. Jay believes the people who protect us deserve training, support, and tools that match the job. A strong team leads to a safer county.
Good law enforcement means staying ahead of what’s coming. From rural theft to mental health calls to national issues that affect Benton County, Jay is committed to keeping the Sheriff’s Office informed, trained, and ready — not reactive.
Public safety works best when law enforcement and the community work together. Jay supports strong partnerships and practical safety training to help keep Benton County prepared and protected.
